HALFACRE CONSTRUCTION HISTORY & QUALIFICATIONS

Halfacre Construction Company has a rich tradition of quality construction in the state of Florida. In 1970 Bill Halfacre incorporated his company in Sarasota and worked to service the marketplace as a full service general contractor. Mr. Halfacre, an engineer by profession, quickly established his firm as a design/build firm capable of supplying a variety of building solutions to the west coast of Florida. In 1984 John Cox was looking to continue his construction career and purchased Halfacre Construction from Bill while continuing the tradition of providing exceptional value to their client base.

As the company began to grow, John brought his son Jack into the organization to supervise and manage projects. Jack soon became a partner in 1998 and in 2007 he became the sole owner of Halfacre Construction bringing 23 years of experience and leadership to the top of the organization. Mr. Halfacre still comes to the office to work on designs and enjoys knowing the tradition of meeting the needs of each customer is still a centerpiece of the Halfacre business model. We feel our commitment to the community has always been an important aspect of being a good corporate citizen. 

COMMUNITY INVOLVMENT

Community involvement has always been a foundation of Halfacre Construction and the Cox family.  Last year, we supported over 50 local charities.  Below is a representative sample of our involvement:

We work under a multitude of owner/contractor arrangements. From a general contractor role to a design-build lease back, we have the ability to take a project from concept to construction. We work with every client to carefully assess their needs and provide value engineering to complete their project on time and within budget.
