YMCA Kicks Off 2009 Annual Community Support Campaign
“PARTNERS WITH YOUTH”
November 10- 23, 2008
Thousands of local children and their families have a critical need for scholarship assistance this year. For 40 years, the South County Family YMCA has made our programs available to all, regardless of their ability to pay. To serve our mission, we need your help. “Yesterday and Today: CHANGE FROM EVERY DOLLAR” is our theme, and donations of ANY AMOUNT make a difference in a child’s life.
In the past year, our YMCA provided $623,106 in scholarship assistance. Almost 90% of this amount went to extremely low income families with children enrolled in our preschool and school-age childcare, youth sports programs, summer camps, swim lessons, and gymnastics.
During our annual community support campaign, we’re asking every YMCA member to please consider making a contribution. In these difficult economic times, we all need to join together to help those in our community who are profoundly less fortunate. Ask a front desk staff member for a pledge card!
