ChildWatch Guidelines
ChildWatch is a benefit of membership. You must be a member to participate.
Children's stay is to be no more than 1 1/2 hours per visit.
We accept children between the ages of 6 weeks and 8 years. Acceptance of children outside the age range is a staff decision at the time of placement.
We welcome children of members however only parents may place their children in ChildWatch. We are unable to accept relatives or friends. Parents must have the power of attorney.
Please have your child freshly diapered upon entrance into ChildWatch. Please bring a bag with an adequate number of diapers, clothes, wipes, etc.
Please leave personal toys at home.
Ill children are not allowed in ChildWatch. If children have a fever or are experiencing vomiting, diarrhea, runny nose, or any other contagious symptons, we cannot accept them into ChildWatch. Final decision is at the discretion of the staff.
Parents must be in the facility and easily accessible to staff. Parents cannot drop off children if they are going to be outside the building. Upon second infraction, your ChildWatch provileges will be revoked.
Children must be fully clothed and wearing shoes to be admitted into ChildWatch.
No food is allowed.
Please inform the staff of any special conditions, challenges or limitations that your child may have. We will do everything in our power to insure that your child has a pleasant experience.
Please encourage your child to mind and be respectful of ChildWatch staff. The YMCA uses "Time out" for behavior problems and positive reinforcement for good behavior.
By law, the YMCA must report suspected child abuse.
The YMCA has the right to refuse any child with due reason.
