This page provides teachers with resouces and information that they can use to help their students become more physically fit and more knowledgable about exercise and nutrition principals.

Teachers can read about various components of the South County Family YMCA's Student Wellness Initiative as well including an outline of the 9-lesson curriculum our PE teachers brought to local elementary schools and information on the 30- minute exercise videos we created for teachers to use in the classrooms.

VIDEO 1 - Move It! Jennifer keeps you moving! High energy to kick off your day or anytime you need a pick me up.

VIDEO 2 - Peanut Butter & Jelly Dance Get moving and have some fun.
Great to energize in the morning or to let loose after testing.

VIDEO 3 - Stand Up & Stretch! Jennifer has you moving, grooving and stretching. Moderate activity with loads of stretching. It's a great energizer anytime of the day.

VIDEO 4 - Get Your Heart Pumping! Mark's mellow approach will get your heart beating while keeping your mind relaxed. Perfect for in between testing sessions or as a transition from testing to classwork.

VIDEO 5 - Slow Stretch! Laura leads you through a series of slowed-down stretches. Releases the tension but keeps things low-key and calm.
