Y's P.A.T.H. to Weight Loss Program
Obesity is a growing epidemic in our country, and as a result, weight loss is becoming a huge industry. The path to a healthy lifestyle begins with proper nutrition, exercise, and behavior modification. Here at the South County Family YMCA, we’d like to offer you all of those in one program. By combining exercise prescriptions, a healthy eating plan, and behavior modification and education, we can help you achieve your weight loss goals.
What is the Y’s P.A.T.H?
The P.A.T.H. is a personalized weight loss program that encompasses the various factors that are key to achieving and maintaining a healthy weight. By improving your exercise habits, making healthy eating choices, and maintaining a positive attitude, you can help ensure a healthier lifestyle.
Program Overview
As a participant in the program, you will receive:
- Monthly assessments, including body fat analysis, blood pressure screenings, cholesterol and glucose testing, and various fitness testing
- Weekly consultations with nutritionists and nutrition educators to discuss diet
- Weekly sessions with an exercise physiologist to develop exercise prescriptions
- A healthy history consultation with our licensed nurse
- A membership to the SCYMCA
- Weekly lectures and presentations dealing with a variety of health-related topics
- Discounted personal training upon completion of the program
Support Phase:
Once you have completed the Y’s P.A.T.H. to Weight Loss program, you are able to sign up for the Support Phase of the program. With this program, we will help you stay on track to maintain your weight loss and continue with your healthy lifestyle. You are welcome to stay on this program for as long as you wish, and there is no minimum length for which you need to stay in the program. With a Support Phase Membership, you are entitled to the following:
- Monthly meetings with the Nutrition Educator to discuss diet
- Weekly group meetings and presentations
- Monthly sessions with the Exercise Physiologist to design exercise programs
- Monthly body fat assessments
- Discounts on personal training
- A membership to the SCYMCA
Cost for YMCA Members
Y's P.A.T.H. Weight Loss program:
$55/month with a 3 month minimum
Support Phase:
$25/month, no minimum
Cost for Non-Members
Y's P.A.T.H. Weight Loss program:
$99/month with a 3 month minimum - includes membership
Support Phase:
$69/month, no minimum - includes membership
